Grooveya on Frank Ernest: “Positive energy for your mind, body and soul”

Guitarist Stefan ‘Grooveya ‘ Grujic opens up about his role in Frank Ernest and their new album ‘One Time For The Mind’ which he calls,”positive energy for your mind, body and soul”.

Q: Who is Frank Ernest?

Grooveya: Chak & Neb have been friends for a long time. Chak and I met in the beginning of the 90’s when I was a kid.

Q: When and why did you start playing together?

Grooveya: I listened to ‘Way Out’ by ONE and I loved it! A few months later Neb called me and asked if I would like to try out to be a rhythm guitarist for ONE. Obviously, I was really happy and gladly accepted. So we went down to Lund and rehearsed over the weekend and met C-1. After the rehearsal in Lund it just felt natural to continue.

Q: What other musicians have influenced your style and why?

Grooveya: I listen to different styles of music: from classical music, funk/disco and hip hop to traditional music from all over the planet. So everything is a influence.

Q: ‘One Time for the Mind’ by Frank Ernest was released on September 30. How would you describe the album?

Grooveya: I think its a savior: positive energy for your mind, body and soul!

Q: What makes Frank Ernest’s music unique?

Grooveya: We are all different people! Everyone has a different musical background.

Q: What is your favorite track on the album and why?

Grooveya: “Watch Your Back”.  A lot of emotions connected to that song.

Q: Why do you think people should listen to Frank Ernest?

Grooveya: Because its great music! It has a mix of everything in it and it’s motivational.

Q: Tell me about the song, ‘Revolution of the Mind’. What is it about?

Grooveya: The world has many hidden but obvious problems in the system. Its time for a change.

Q: What do you want listeners to take away from ‘One Time for the Mind’?

Grooveya: Its a cosmic trip. Enjoy!
